GIRL SCOUTS SHOULD COMPLETE THIS FORM FOR THEMSELVES. Submit one form per project approximately 2 weeks before your project begins. If multiple Girl Scouts are working on the same project they must complete this form together. Review the full Project Proposal Instructions by viewing the PDF below. (If you wish, write all your responses in Word or Google Doc and then copy and paste into this online form. Scroll to bottom of form to SAVE if you're not ready to SUBMIT). Once the form is submitted, a copy of the form and automated notification will be emailed to the Troop/Group Leader listed on the form, if needed look in your JUNK or SPAM folder for this confirmation. Please forward the email confirmation to all Girl Scouts associated with this project. In GSWISE, Silver Award projects are approved by the Troop/Group Leader. Note, council does not approve Silver projects, Silver projects are approved the the Troop/Group Leader or parent/guardian of Individually Registered Girl Scouts.
Project Proposal Instructions
Deadlines:

Girl Scout Cadettes must complete work on the Silver Award and submit Final Report to GSWISE prior to becoming Girl Scout Seniors. This deadline is September 30 after girls complete eighth grade. To participate in the upcoming Girl Scout Award Celebration, the Silver Award Final Report must be submitted by March 1 or Girl Scouts will be recognized the following year.

We (Girl Scout Cadettes) are aware that each individual team member should spend approximately 50 hours working on their Silver Award project and will maintain an individual time log.
We (Girl Scout Cadettes, troop/group leader, adult volunteer supervisor) agree and understand that the Silver Award Project: 1) Cannot be just a collection or donation drive, donations may be part of a larger Silver Award project, 2) Cannot be a fundraiser for another organization, program, or individual, 3) Is not simply volunteering time for another organization in an already existing project, 4) Cannot be done by more than 4 Girl Scouts for the same project unless receiving GSWISE's prior approval, and 5) Is a Take Action project, not a community service project.
I/we (Girl Scout Cadettes) have read and understand all the requirements and guidelines specific to the Silver Award as outlined in the Silver Award Guidelines and council-specific requiements. I/we are aware of all deadlines for the Silver Award. Should any major plans change, I will contact the Troop/Group Leader who approved my project.
I/we (Girl Scout Cadettes and Adult Girl Scout Volunteer Supervisor) understand Girl Scouts and troop leaders are not permitted to solicit monetary contributions or request donations of supplies or solicit for sponsorships. These funding activities are only allowed for Girl Scouts going for their Gold Award. Girl Scouts may participate in money-earning activities after receiving council approval.
I (Adult Girl Scout Volunteer Supervisor) recognize it is the Cadette's responsibility to fulfill the requirements for the Silver Award including all deadlines. I understand that they must uphold guidelines specific to their project as outlined by the Cadette Silver Award Guidelines and the Adult Guide for the Silver Award.
I (Troop/Group Leader) have reviewed the above Silver Award Project Proposal. I am aware of the requirements and guidelines outlined by the Cadette Silver Award Guidelines and the Adult Guide for the Silver Award, as well as council-specific requirements and belive this project aligns with those requirements.
We (Girl Scout Cadettes, troop/group leader, adult volunteer supervisor) will ensure all Girl Scouts listed on this form will maintain current Girl Scout membership for the duration of the Silver Award project.
GSWISE selects one exemplary Silver Award project annually to receive the GSWISE Young Women of Distinction honor. We (Girl Scout Cadettes, troop/group leader, adult volunteer supervisor) understand that if our Silver Award project group exceeds four girl members, we automatically disqualify ourselves from being considered for this honor.
